On Tuesday, we hopped a train to Berlin. Fabienne met us at Berlin Hauptbahnhof, Europe’s largest two level train station. From there we preceded to the apartment she had found us. It’s fully furnished and has one bed plus a very nice futon. The only real issue is an unfriendly IPCop firewall. Friends from Austria are staying with us right now since there’s a tattoo convention this weekend.
Berlin is an interesting place. I love the public transportation infrastructure that can take you anywhere. Last night we headed out at midnight for the bar and even coming home at 4:30AM there were still people everywhere. Permanent food stands were still open all over the place at that hour as well. I think this city’s late hours fit me a lot better than Las Vegas’s (I’m not sure if they have a 24hr grocery though).
