Think Closed

Think Closed DVDJon’s thoughts on Apple becoming consumer hostile. Ever since MSFT’s Xbox made upgradeable firmware the norm consumers have been abused by having their equipment being locked up… equipment that was shipped out the door half finished from the beginning since the manufacturer figures they can always add the features later. I sold my Xbox 360 a year after launch, then they finally added in features that should have been in from the beginning.

Paul and Larry
Paul and Larry from Pauldotcom Security Weekly were in town this week for the SANS Las Vegas. I put together some schwag and donated it to their live podcast. It went fairly well and I got a review copy of their Linksys WRT54G hacking book. I plan on eventually reviewing it for Hack-A-Day. BTW, if you’ve always loved Hack-A-Day and wanted to contribute, now is the time to get a hold of me and let me know what you’d like to do.

YouTube – Chopper 4

YouTube – Chopper 4 This immediately popped into my head during today’s meeting when we were joking about needing a chopper. The only video more ridiculous is the original Chopper 4 promo they’re describing (obviously the old chopper needed to be replaced). I guess there’s really only one way to shoot a news chopper commercial because Chopper 2 rolled out a similar one and so did Chopper 5 in Texas.
