Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb semi-truck

This is a video of Bruce Canepa racing a 2003 Kenworth T2000 at the 2003 Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb. It’s a tandem axle truck with a mid-engine. The engine is a twin-turbo Caterpillar C-16, a straight-six producing over 1,300hp. Even though the angle makes the course look kinda flat, the truck is gaining over 80 feet in elevation. This video was shot from the spectator’s area Devils Playground at 12,900 feet.pike's peak semi truckpike's peak semi truckpike's peak semi truck
